So! The Blood Wolf is strong, but not all-powerful. Even if Cory couldn’t move her, he did have an effect. But now it looks like Mati is in real trouble!

How will Cory’s strength help Karthak’s mother? Is she going to die? And most importantly, is Karthak just sweet emotionally, or was the Blood Wolf actually sizing him up for a snack later?

By strong the Big Blood Woolf means his telekinetic power is strong, or does it? Are the two last panels connected? How will Cory being strong help Mati? Or, if worst comes to worst, help Karthak deal with the loss of his Mati?
