So!

So! Flyboy and Spooky have got unexpected company! Whose hearts do those beats belong? What’s happening to Flyboy’s arm? And are all those surprising hearts responsible for it?

Tune in this Wednesday to find out! Hope to see you there! :grinning:

Invisiblity we have seen before, but animals or people suddenly appearing, that is new. The Platinum Priestess seems to have a monopoly on teleportation. It is of course possible that they were somehow hidden, but if so, why not hide the sorceress also?

Now Mitch, have you considered whether you would be safer high in the air or kneeling on the floor?

This is quite a puzzle. No one in this time frame ought to know anything about Mitch’s arm injury except Young Spooky, and unless Mitch gave more details between pages, even Young Spooky wouldn’t know how they were inflicted. Even in the present time, who knew besides the dead crazies, Cory, and the “master” granting magical power? I think it’s more likely that Mitch’s arm is unfortunately reacting to something attuned to the “master”, the way Superman reacts to kryptonite taken out of a lead box. Some sort of domanothite, some artifact blessed or cursed or sacred to Domanoth, has just been taken out of whatever it was hiding in.

The multiple heartbeasts is also worrying. The reasonable answer is, okay, Platinum Priestess herded the crazies again, hid them with a secondary ward within the first, but ick. Why would she? She hasn’t met our heroes yet and supposedly her plan A revolved around Laampros and the Domanoth scheme was her plan B only after plan A failed. Should we wonder if Domanoth was plan A all along?

Honestly, I think it’s just as likely we have a Giger-ish horror monster that has several hearts, eyes, mouths, and tentacles encircling our heroes invisibly. Might not even be a demon, but a lost alien child locked in the basement and being forced to cast unpleasant illusions. Yeah, I dunno what’s going on at all.

Interesting speculation, David. And well put.

Good question.

Not to worry. It’s not The Platinum Priestess’s face.
