I wonder if Daniela has been told a fib about what’s going on. Perhaps Shades told her that a mad magician named Spooky was going to kidnap her but he and his group of magic shield agents would try to keep her safe from him. And maybe that’s why she’s running away now: she thinks Spooky is the bad guy and doesn’t even understand she’s already been kidnapped.

panel 3/4-- excellent. funny AND satisfying!! but oh noes, maybe the whole imp/DRAGON/magic green kapow were all a Little Too Much for Daniela. and/or someone’s been feeding her false info for malicious purposes >:[
