Look at that smile! Karthak is such a cutie…

Oh, and this Saturday is Double Cros s penciler Adam DeKraker’s birthday! So please join me in wishing him a very happy weekend!

Please note: These are work-in-progress colors. Vero should get me the final colors soon.

So!

So! We’re back posting pages of Chapter 1 of Fallen with lineart by Gabriel Mayorga and colors by Veronica Gandini! And this time, we’re going to finish out the chapter!

Looks like Cory had hoped the previous day’s adventures were all a bad dream. But falling from the sky into a bizarre new world, fighting a laughing dinosaur, and passing out in a strange, blue boy’s arms was all real!

And now it looks like Cory is at least going to try to be friends with Karthak. It will certainly help that he can actually move again.

Will Cory and Karthak be able to be friends? Will the young shepherd help Cory figure out a way home? And why does Cory just assume that steamy, soapy tub of water is for him?

Tune in this Wednesday to find out! Hope to see you there! 😀

A most inefficient heating system.

Awww, Karthak is such a sweet boy!
Also, yay, the long-awaited bath scene! I’m sure it will be tame, but I’ll take what I can get, lol!

So, Cory has mental abilities, right? Will this allow him to communicate with his “monster?”

If memory serves, he’s a telekinetic, but not a telepath. Unlike other comics universes, they aren’t a package deal.

(Amanda, of course, is the reverse)

That thought had occurred to me. I was thinking like “Red Hot”. He makes fire and can pull in fire. So, sorta like two abilities. I wonder if maybe Cory could evolve as he gets a year or two older? After all, the timeline is fluid in this story, yes?

That was a song my chorus friends in HS liked to sing.

The bonfires or the bath?

The sweetest.

Good questions, Bill. We’ll just have to see. But as Nate has pointed out, he hasn’t demonstrated any telepathy so far.

Oh! We’re back! I feel a little better now from the AAAAAAAA of the main story and ready to spend time with these beans.
Keeping an eye out for any curveballs, though stare~

Oh, there will always be curveballs, Julia. You know me.

But this arc is definitely more on the fun/comedic side than Double Cross. So you can breathe a little easier.

But just a little.
