And what would you possibly have to be ashamed about, Miss Van Dumas?

So!

So! Flyboy was able to whisk our heroes and Ambrosia to the safety of Spooky’s office roof! But are they really safe? Is Ambrosia really ok? And what tale does she have to tell?

Tune in this Saturday to find out! Hope to see you there! :grinning:

Flyboy is looking over his shoulder. I really, really hope he sees nothing! Loved the landing and the last panel!

Now Spooky, do you have any more of those magic rope cutting knives?

I’ve learned over the years to never trust a woman who can turn on the Waterworks on cue. It’s always the last appeal of manipulation and deception.

i love panel 3!!! so they outran the rope but that doesn’t mean it’s stopped chasing them… I see Flyboy looking out, fingers crossed they can zap it or something if it’s still coming for them!
now then. My, my, why is Ambrosia ashamed…?

Flyboy hopes the same thing. Glad you liked those panels, Bill!

I have a feeling that was a more recent (i.e. future) invention.

Man or woman, being able to produce tears on command is a dangerous skill.

What do you love about it, Julia?

Picking apart panels for love? Sometimes its the gestalt (?) I think that’s the word, you just take it in for effect, much like a grand mountain view. You step back and just in awe, say, “wow”.

Sorry, lousy writing skills. Hated English class!

I can’t count and meant panel 2, ack ^_^U but! Panel 3 just has really satisfying symmetry to it. Amanda and Mitch on either side looking out for The Rope, Spooks and Ms. Dumas only have eyes for each other…
Soooo Panel 2 which I meant to comment on-- it’s a classic BAMF vibe! Everybody in cool poses touching down. And Amanda landing first because future leader/a few-inch drop ain’t nothin’

I often do that after receiving Adam and Vero’s work.

Ha! Yes. Not exactly a “superhero landing” but still a superhero landing!
